Waterside Academy’s Extended Curriculum gives pupils opportunities to develop skills and interests beyond traditional classroom subjects. Activities include paddlesports, food technology, design technology, art, climbing, animal care, fishing, music, local area visits, football, golf and dance.

These experiences support transferable skills including communication, teamwork, resilience, problem solving, independence, confidence, creativity and leadership.

Pupils use Extended Curriculum Workbooks to record what they have experienced, reflect on their skills and identify links between their activities and future education, training and employment.
